"A multi-dimensional creative professional who takes music and communities and turns them into something greater than the sum of their parts."

Eamon O'Malley is a Clonmel-based composer, musical director, and performer with over 25 years of professional experience spanning original composition, site-specific musical theatre, choral direction, electronic music, and music education.

His 2025 commissioned work 24:09 — for piano and electronics, inspired by Sean Kelly's legendary 1985 time trial — received standing ovations at its Clonmel Junction Festival premiere. His Clonmel Song Cycle brought Clonmel's hidden histories to life on the streets of the town itself, and was featured on RTÉ's national Culture Night broadcasting.

He is the founder of three active choirs, an award-winning musical theatre chorusmaster, and a passionate educator — someone rooted in the artistic life of Tipperary and reaching far beyond it.

Three choirs.
One vision.

Eamon has founded and currently directs three active choral ensembles across Tipperary — each with a distinct identity, repertoire, and community, but all sharing the same conviction that singing together changes people. Whether award-winning choral excellence, the raw energy of rock in choral form, or the open door of a community choir, these are ensembles built around belonging as much as music.
